Copy a Page or Post!

In WordPress.COM you can now COPY a Page or Post using the new Writing Helper. If you don’t see the Writing Helper, you might need to enable it in your Screen Options. When you click Copy a Post, you’ll get a list of all of your posts. That exact post will be copied into your new post editor, with all of its categories and tags. You can just edit it from there, preserving any formatting or other time-consuming text you’d already entered and want to reuse. Wish they had this option for WordPress.ORG!

I do not have a “writing helper” box to check. Can you explain?

This is only seen on the free WordPress.COM websites, not normally on Hosted WordPress websites. Click on Screen Options at the top left of the Post you’re on and click in the box that says ‘Writing Helper’. You can then click on Screen Options again to close it and down below you will then see the Writing Helper which allows you to Copy a Post.
