Simplicity is the KEY
Simplicity is one of the most powerful concepts in writing. That’s because most people want to impress their audience with complex words. But that’s not an effective strategy because people don’t use complex words when they talk.
Instead, ask yourself “What am I trying to say?”. Then, say it in the least amount of words.
Less is always better. Think before you write. That forces you to always use the minimum amount of words to make a point.
For example, the word “that” is often overused. You can delete “that” in 80% of all cases.
Practice this by sending short emails. If possible, don’t use more than 2 sentences per paragraph. And 3 paragraphs max.
